FOR A “GOOD NEIGHBOR”, ROLOFF BUILDING GROUP IS THERE
Roloff Building Group is proud to be working with The Good Neighbor Community Health Center (Fremont) and assist them with their mission to work in collaboration with the community to increase access to primary preventative health care in order to improve the health of the community, and especially of the underserved and vulnerable population.
The Good Neighbor Community Health Center purchased an existing building in Fremont to remodel and open as their second Fremont location. Roloff Building Group was selected by a low-bid process from amongst nine general contractors. The project was presented to all bidders as an aggressive schedule and a budget without any major contingency moneys. Roloff Building Group was up for the challenge!
Details of the project consist of the interior demolition of approximately 8,000 sf, including the removal of framing, drywall, ceilings, and flooring. This was not an average demo due to selective demo practices – the plans called for salvage and repurpose of multiple products. However, we understand the need for cost control and are always willing to help a client with value engineering and repurposing. The new floor plan consists of dental rooms, exam rooms, an X-Ray lab, reception area, nurses’ station, and restrooms and offices.
Despite the aggressive timeline and some unknowns and code challenges stemming from the original construction of the building, the project is proceeding very nicely. Drywall and MEP finishes are just wrapping up. Next up is casework and other specialties and finally doors and hardware, final paint, flooring and then punching out the punch list! We look forward to turning the building over to our client in early May.
